Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — What It Is

TabTrade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.

The Software

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
