TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be coming. That should make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
